Did you know that Kilimanjaro is just three degrees south of the equator? While Tanzania is fairly temperate, it will still get extremely cold on the mountain as you near the summit… However, just because you’re dressed for freezing conditions doesn’t mean you won’t get sunburned!
Make sure to wear strong sunscreen every day (lips too), wear sunglasses that are polarized and have 100% UV protection, and cover your neck and chin with a bandana or buff…
